Luke Hamano

President, CEO, & Coach

Luke graduated from the University of Hawaii at Mānoa where he studied Economics and Japanese. Prior to his studies at Mānoa, Luke played collegiate tennis at the University of Hawaii at Hilo. During his stay at UH Hilo, the team was ranked #4 in the nation, won the PacWest Championships, NCAA West Region Championships, and made the semi-finals at the NCAA National Championships. In his junior tennis career, Luke was ranked as high as #2 in Hawai'i, and had the chance to compete national tournaments like the Boys 16s & 18s National Championships at Kalamazoo. Luke was also able to play tennis internationally like at the Rafa Nadal Academy in Spain and the Riviera Zushi Marina Tennis School in Japan.

Luke started coaching tennis with coach Randy Kunimoto in Hilo, where he was taught the basics of tennis coaching and the great philosophies that Coach Randy had to offer. From there, Luke started coaching on Oahu with coach Caden Yamamoto, again gaining valuable experience. Luke's aim in his coaching is to provide students with simple yet creative methods of learning. His love for economics, chess, the Japanese culture, the piano, and passion for learning also contribute to his philosophies on the court.

With his position at Tennis Keiki o Hawai'i he hopes to help create a community that inspires excellence within the state.
